Ever know that there’s such a thing

As two way calling?

Tonight before you fall asleep

He’s ringing and ringing

And you think

I’m too tired tonight

Another ring

And you’re fast asleep

An alarm and your wide awake

 Ring, ring

And you plan your day

Onto the shower and busy day

Ring, ring,

But it’s so far away

To work and then lunch, you laugh

At your colleagues joke

Ring, ring you hear

And you push it away

I’ll save it for a rainy day

Finished at work feeling good

And you go for a walk

Ring, ring

It’s on to dinner

And quality time

You send them to bed

Ring, ring

You hear and go to watch

Your favorite show

To bed again

Ring, ring

Still in your head

Ringing and ringing

Day after day

No answer

As if you want it to go away

One day you hear it

Ring, ring

Yes, I get it just waiting for a moment

And then here it comes

Your rainy day

Has finally come

On to the hospital frightened

And in a ghastly hurry

You Ring

Afraid there will be no answer

After all you never seem to take his calls

The voice on the other end in hurried reply

Can’t wait to be there

Especially when you need it worst of all
